Frequently Asked Questions
Soaps
Are your products tested?
Yes, we have cosmetic product safety reports (CPSR) for all of our soap products. This is a safety assessment completed by a qualified safety assessor to ensure all items are safe for public sale. We also undergo our own comprehensive program of product testing for all new products on our site, including all soaps, candles and wax melts.
Are your soap products vegan?
All of our soaps are made from natural soap bases that are mild, vegetable based and vegan. We also use soap bases that are sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) free.
Are your ingredients tested on animals?
No, we will only source our ingredients from suppliers who do not test their products or ingredients on animals and promise a strong commitment to cruelty-free practices.
Where can I find the ingredients for each product?
A full break down of all the ingredients used in each of our soap products can be found on the individual product pages.
How long do your soaps last?
In line with other soap bar products, we recommend using our soaps within 6 months after opening. Before use, please ensure all soaps are stored in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight and keep them in the cardboard boxes they are delivered in.
How can I make my soaps last longer?
The natural soap bases we use have a naturally high glycerine content which is great to help retain skin moisture and for those with sensitive skin, however it can mean our bars will dissolve more quickly if left in water. To extend their life, please ensure they are not left submerged in water and leave them to completely dry between uses on a well draining soap dish.
When the soap starts to get really small and more difficult to hold, place into one of our exfoliating bags and continue to use until it is all used up.
What is soap sweating?
It is quite natural for soaps to sometimes appear to 'sweat', this is due to the glycerin in the soap which attracts moisture from the air causing a dew like appearance on the surface of the soap. This doesn't affect the soap's functionality or quality. Simply pat the soap dry with a paper towel and place in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight.
Candles & Wax Melts
How can I make my candles last longer?
Always store candles in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent the wax melting. Keep candles clean by wiping away any dust or soot to ensure a clean and safe burn.
Trim the wick before each burn to prevent a large flame which can burn the candle faster. Avoid burning your candle for extended periods, we recommended around 2-4 hours and make sure you leave your candle to cool completely between burns.
How can I make my wax melts last longer?
Store wax melt's in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. We recommend keeping wax melts in their original packaging until ready to use to prevent dust and contamination. Clean your wax melt burner regularly (after each use) to wipe away dust and prevent a build up of wax. Avoid adding a new wax melt to existing wax as this will dilute the fragrance.
Why do you use soy wax?
We use soy wax as it is a natural and biodegradable option, burning cleaner, producing less soot and more environmentally friendly than other waxes such as paraffin.
